Problem Failed to Converge

The following error message

appears when a solution to the equations in a block is not obtained within the number of iterations specified as the maximum in the Stop Criteria dialog, 250 in the example shown above.  The common causes for this error message are:

1) an incorrectly specified problem.

2) improper guess values

3) poor or no limits on the variables.

If you click the Yes button, EES will display the Residuals window.  The Residuals window provides a great deal of information including the order of the calculations and the block containing the equation(s) that caused the problem.  See the Residuals window for more information.  The Computational Flow window may also be helpful.
