Index
The information in this library is grouped into Drag Coefficient functions and Drag Force procedures. The Drag Coefficient functions returns the drag coefficient given Reynolds number and/or a non-dimensional geometry factor. The Drag Force procedures return the drag force (or drag force per unit length, as appropriate) and optionally, the drag coefficient and Reynolds number.
The routines in the library are organized in the following ways.
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for All Objects
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for 2D Objects
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for 3D Objects
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for Circular Cylinders
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for Square and Rectangular Objects
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for Objects Having a Diamond Shape
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for Triangular Objects
Drag Coefficients and Drag Force for AirFoils, Cones, and Ogives
Drag Coefficients for Vehicles
The most convenient way to locate and use the Drag Coefficient library is through the Function Information command in the Options menu. Select the Heat Transfer & Fluid Flow radio button at the top of the dialog. Then select Drag Coefficients and Drag Force.
