The sparse matrix solution method used by EES to solve equations was developed with help and program fragments from Professor F.L. Alvarado, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Wisconsin - Madison. His contributions were particularly appreciated early in the development of EES.
The three-dimensional plotting package is based on a modification of the public domain GLScene package (https://www.glscene.org/).
The genetic optimization method implemented in EES is derived from the public domain Pikaia optimization program (version 1.2, April 2002) written by Paul Charbonneau and Barry Knapp at National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) (https://www.hao.ucar.edu/Public/models/pikaia/pikaia.html).
