Minor Losses and Flow Measurement Library
This library provides functions helpful for calculating pressure losses, either as a result of minor losses or intentional for flow measurement. Minor losses refers to the head loss (or pressure losses) occurring in typical piping systems due to steady-state flow through piping components such as fittings, valves, bends, elbows, tees, inlets, outlets, etc. The head loss caused by flow through these components can be represented with a dimensionless resistance coefficient, K, which is determined by the library functions for inlets, exits, tees, bends, contractions, and expansion. Functions for flow measurement with orifice plates and nozzles are also provided.
