IsoOctane
IsoOctane (also known as 2,2,4-trimethyllpentane) is C8H18 with CAS# 540-84-1) has a molar mass of 114.23 kg/kmol. Thermodynamic property data are provided for this substance using the Fundamental Equation of State developed by Blackham, T.M., Lemmon, A.K, and Lemmon, E.W. at NIST. This equation of state is unpublished and used in the REFPROP 10 program. It is used here with permission from Eric Lemmon at NIST. The equation of state is applicable from the triple point (165.77 K) to 600 K at pressures up to 1000 MPa.
Viscosity and thermal conductivity are provided over the range of applicability of the equation of state correlations from:
Yaws, Carl L., ed. Chemical Properties Handbook. New York: McGraw-Hill, 1999.
The enthalpy of fusion, dipole moment, and surface tension data are also provided by Yaws.
