R479A
R479A is a zeotropic mixture consisting of 28 weight% R1132(E), E1.5% R32 and 50.5% R1234yf. It is an A2L refrigerant that is mildly flammable. It is designed to improve the thermal performance the heating/cooling system in electric vehicles) and PHEVs. It can be considered as a replacement for R1234yf. It has a molar mass of 77.318 kg/kmol with essentially 0 ODP and GWP.
Property data for R479A are provided using a Helmholtz mixture model fitted by F-Chart Software using thermodynamic property data generated by REFPROP. The model is applicable for temperatures between 200 K and 400 K with pressures up to 20 MPa or reduced densities up to 3.0. The reference state is saturated liquid at 0 C for which specific enthalpy and entropy are 200 kJ/kg and 1.0 kJ/kg-K, respectively.
