R141B

R141b provides thermodynamic and transport property information for refrigerant R141b (C2H3Cl2F, 1,1-dichloro-1-fluoroethane, CAS #1717-00-6).  The correlation for the thermodynamic properties is applicable for temperatures between 170 K and 500 K for pressures up to 400 MPa.  The correlation is based on information from:

Eric W. Lemmon, Roland Span

"Short Fundamental Equations of State for 20 Industrial Fluids"

J. Chem. Eng. Data, 2006, 51 (3), 785-850

This correlation is valid for temperatures within the range 170 [K] < T < 500 [K] at pressures up to 400 MPa.

The reference state is determined by setting specific enthalpy and entropy of saturated liquid to 0 at the normal boiling point (276.7 K).

Transport Properties

Viscosity has been estimated using a corresponding states approach with propane as the reference fluid as suggested in:

Klein, S.A., McLinden, M.O., and Laesecke , A., "An improved extended corresponding states method for estimation of viscosity of pure refrigerants and mixtures'

Int. J. of Refrigeration, 20, pp. 208-217, 1997

The thermal conductivity correlation was obtained by regressing values obtained from REFPROP 10.

Surface tension data are provided using the information in:

Mulero, A., Cachadina, I, and Parra, M.

"Recommended Correlations for the Surface Tension of Common Fluids"

J.Phys. Chem Ref. Data, Vol. 41, No.4, 2012
