**ETHANE**

ETHANE provides thermodynamic properties for real fluid ethane using the fundamental equation of state developed by Bücker and Wagner, *A Reference Equation of State for the Thermodynamic Properties of Ethane for Temperatures from the Melting Line to 675 K and Pressures up to 900 MPa*, J. Phys. Chem. Ref. Data, Vol. 35, No. 1, 2006

The values of specific enthalpy and entropy are by default referred to zero at the ideal gas state corresponding to 298.15 K and 101.3 kPa. The reference state can be changed using the $Reference directive. The equation of state provides thermodynamic properties for temperatures between 90.37 K and 675 K at pressures up to 900 MPa.

Note that ETHANE provides thermodynamic properties assuming real fluid behavior. Use C2H6 for ideal gas properties of ethane consistent with reference states used in combustion calculations.
